Organized by Gary Everhart Jr., this annual event is a super fun way to bring awareness to Coins for Alzheimer's Research Trust (CART) through a need for speed. CART is a Rotary-affiliated agency which channels all donations to research the cause, treatment and prevention of this disease.
Kayne Fisher unveiled a new brand and direction for the Kitchen + Market at Revolution Mill. The restaurant and market will now be known as Kau, pronounced “cow,” to better reflect Fisher's aspirations for the space. Kau is now a restaurant, butcher and a bar. Its unveiling took place Jan. 8 with local influencers and VIPs getting a first taste.
Preyer Brewing Company holds a quarterly charity bake-off to raise money for local charities. In December, the charity of choice was Out of the Garden Project's Urban Teaching Farm. Amateur bakers entered their best baked goods for judging. Professionals and community leaders served as judges. More than $1,000 was raised in 2018.

The Greensboro Symphony Guild gathered at Pig Pounder Brewery to welcome new members and reconnect in preparation for the fall and winter season. The Guild advocates for music education and appreciation in the community, primarily by supporting the Greensboro Symphony Orchestra.
